Key Preventative Techniques

TasVets Animal Health Partners offer a more dairy consultative approach with clients using preventative techniques to improve outcomes for clients and well as improve revenue and profit.  The key preventative techniques are:

  1. Produce animal health plans and review these plans on a regular basis with clients for agreed plans for the farming enterprise.
  2. Proactive discussion about upcoming animal health interventions so they can be “locked in” to ensure a seamless service provision that fits in with the routine operations of the farm.  Optimisation of timeliness, planning and execution to ensure premium animal health becomes engrained in the culture of the farm.
  3. Training of staff and owners on disease prevention and the use of preventative products to reduce the reliance on prescription products such as antibiotics
  4. Regular review of farm performance and work with client to improve performance and profitability of farming enterprise
  5. Assist the farm owner on the future plans and development of animal and farming practices
